Saros is a term used to mark the interval of time between one eclipse and another, symbolizing the cycle and repetition. The inspiration from this phenomenon resulted in a collection of pendant lights, table lamp, floor lamp, wall sconce, and ceiling light, with curved shapes and overlapping elements.
THE DRAWING
The project came from the desire to use straw as a protagonist in the lamps, highlighting the material and making it interact with the light. Thus, the layer of textured straw projects in front of the spotlight, slightly obscuring the luminosity, in a cozy visual effect like that of an eclipse.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The wooden sheets are shaped into arches and fitted together in a mirrored manner, creating the piece’s volume and unique design. This configuration of elements is replicated throughout the collection, but the way it is arranged in each light fixture completely changes the product’s appearance.
